Join the association

A place in the game.

Officiating is a rewarding way to stay involved with football, serve local schools, and become part of a committed crew.

Your path to the field

Five clear steps.

No prior officiating experience is required. We'll help you learn the mechanics, rules, and expectations.

  1. 01

    Register with KHSAA

Create your officiating account and pay the football licensing fee through KHSAA.

  2. 02

    Introduce yourself

Email CKFOA Assignor Keith Morgan and let him know you are joining as a new official.

  3. 03

    Join ArbiterSports

Accept the CKFOA invitation. ArbiterSports is where game assignments are managed.

  4. 04

    Learn the rules

Complete Part 1 of the rules exam after your rule book and case book arrive.

  5. 05

    Train with us

Attend CKFOA meetings and the dedicated training sessions for new officials.
